President John Dramani Mahama has nominated thirteen (13) deputy ministers to serve in key government ministries, pending approval by Parliament.
This move aligns with Articles 78(1) and 79(1) of Ghana’s Constitution, which mandate prior parliamentary consent for ministerial appointments.
The list includes nominees for critical sectors such as finance, education, defense, justice, energy, and infrastructure.
Thomas Nyarko Ampem steps into the role of Deputy Minister for Finance, while Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi takes on the position to support the Ministry of the Interior.

The Ministry of Defense will have Ernest Brogya Gyenfi as its deputy, with Clement Abas Apaak nominated for the Ministry of Education.
In the energy sector, Richard Gyan-Mensah steps up as the Deputy Minister for Energy & Green Transition. Meanwhile, Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini takes on the role of Deputy Minister for Roads & Highways.
Additionally, Justice Srem-Sai has been nominated to serve in the Ministry of Justice & Attorney General.
Furthermore, Yusif Sulemana will join the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources as Deputy Ministe with Rita Naa Odoley Sowah nominated as the Minister of Local Government, while Gizella Tettey-Agbotui steps into Works, Housing, and Water Resources.
